We will visit the Huaca Pucllana, a magnificent ceremonial and administrative center of Lima culture, built in the 4th century A.D. and considered by the Incas as Naupallaqta, a "Sacred Village".

3) Colonial Lima

The Viceroyalty of Peru was the most important of the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. In its Historic Center, the architecture and urban layout of that period stand out, in old streets with colonial mansions with Moorish-style balconies. Our tour includes the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín and the Plaza Mayor, with its distinctive buildings: the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica and the Municipal Palace.

In the historic center we visit one of its most beautiful buildings, the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank, where the Treasures of Peru can be seen: a select exhibition of gold objects, ceramics and textiles from various cultures pre-Columbian, from its origins to the Incas, which captivates and impresses our visitors.

We enter the monumental Convent of San Francisco, which is the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. The Choral Room and the Library of the Monks, the Sacristy, with its collection of canvases by Zurbarán and Rivera can be appreciated. The Great Courtyard of the Main Cloister, finely decorated with Sevillian tiles from the 16th century, its beautiful Moorish arches and the Underground Crypts, known as the Catacombs, where you will feel the presence of the colonial past.

4) Contemporary Lima

The tour continues through the more traditional residential areas; El Olivar in San Isidro, with olive trees brought from Spain in the 17th century; Miraflores' Central Park, and "Larco Mar", a spot of international thematic attractions which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean - Larco Mar has became a distinctive symbol of modern Lima.
