Iquitos
Iquitos where you can often see this nice type of cetaceans, the pink and gray dolphins.
Day 1: Lima / Iquitos
Transfer from the Hotel in Lima to the Airport.
am. – Flight Lima / Iquitos
am. Arrival in Iquitos and reception at the Airport, to transfer them to the city of Nauta by land, in a private car, on the way we will observe the typical houses of farmers settled on the sides of the road. The trip lasts 1.45 hrs. Approximately. After arrival in the city of Nauta, we will do a small city tour, observing the old houses made of mud.
At the main port, we will board the boat that will take us through the waters of the Marañón River, until Lodge facilities. Typical fruit drink of the area. Assignment of private bungalow and information of the program to follow. Brief canoe ride through the “Anaconda cocha” lagoon.
Typical lunch. Penetration walk through primary forest, knowing part of the Flora & Fauna of the area. (Giant trees such as the Lupuna or Ceiba Pethandra) Return to the Lodge.
Dinner. At the time indicated by the guide we will make the nocturnal canoe excursion in order to observe alligators and some other nocturnal species.
Night in Lodge.
Day 2: Gray and Pink Dolphins
We will go for an early walk in the jungle to see Monkeys and Squirrels in their natural habitat and return for breakfast.
After breakfast we will go on a motorboat excursion to the Marañon and Ucayali Rivers where the Amazon River is born and navigate to the village of “Grau” to ascend a forty meter tower to view the union of the two rivers and see first hand the birth of the mighty Amazon River.
From there we will travel to the blackwater of the Yarapa River tributary of the Amazon River for more viewing of the legendary Amazon Pink Dolphin. Lunch will be provided aboard the boat, next we will visit the village of “Castilla” to learn about the daily life of these indigenous people.
From there, we will visit the farmers plantations, the villagers are “Mestizos Indians” and originate from the Jivaro tribes who are dedicated to make handicrafts that could be bought or traded with objects that tourists bring with them. After, we will observe the sunset on the Amazon River and return to the lodge for dinner.
The guide will tell you when dinner will be prepared and what you will be eating. We will take a night walk in the jungle to learn about the nocturnal insects of the jungle like the Batracios and other nocturnal species.
You will spend the night in the lodge.
Day 3: Piranha Fishing
Breakfast. Recreational fishing program for piranhas and other species in the lagoon or stream, fishing will be done with typical rods from the area and also with typical arrows from the area. Return to the Lodge. Lunch.
Time indicated for the departure to the interior of the jungle and spend the night in tents or mosquito nets on the banks of the ravine or the lagoon, night fishing with arrows in the riverside style, night walk according to the guide instructions. Dinner.

Day 4: Medicinal Plants
Breakfast. Explanation of the Guide on the basic survival course, using the natural resources of the jungle and will show you the medicinal plants, their preparation and use.
At the indicated time, return to the Lodge and have lunch. Canoeing in the lagoon. Dinner.
Night at the Lodge.
Day 5: Cayman Lake
Breakfast, and then a walk to visit the nearby “Cayman Lake” and observe the different species of animals. There you will see the high jungle.
Next we will return to the lodge for lunch, just in time to return to the city of Nauta. From there we will return to the city of Iquitos by car and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Iquitos.
Day 6: Iquitos / Lima
Free day in Iquitos.
pm. – Transfer from Hotel to Airport
Flight Iquitos / Lima
Arrival in Lima and transfer to Hotel.
